Hi i just recently acquired these 2 old antiques paid $150 for the Baby Russian & $125 for the 38 D.A. 2nd Model did i do good or what i think so. I took them to the range yesterday to try them out and they worked flawlessly i have other topbreaks in my collection too that i shoot. I reload for this S&W 38 ctg. As there blackpowder guns i keep them loaded down with smokeless powder so i dont ruin them i use about 1.8 grs of Win 231 & 158gr. RN bullet with no ill effects pretty accurate up to 25ft.I was pretty impress with the outcome so heres some pics them Enjoy!!... Rick

Rigmover, Sounds like you're having as much fun as you can with your clothes on, with these two old war horses!. Do you have to register these oldies with the Police in Canada? Ed.

Hi Ed
Yes there registered here in Canada. There not classified as antiques but as prohibited guns because of the short barrel lenght anything under 4 inches and under are prohibs which sucks LOL!! and because ammo is still ready available in smokeless but not in blackpowder form which makes them think that they still can be fired very stupid law.

Rigmover,...

You did great on picking those two old S&W guns!
I really like that Baby Russian. It looks to be in good shape for it's age.
Is it Nickel plated? I too wish I could find one like it here in Ontario.

Thanks for showing it & enjoy them both...
