First question is where in the heck does this gun belong on the Forum. Since I would like top-break members to see and reply to the thread, I will start here since it is a top-break S&W reproduction.
Finally picked up a Cimarron Model 3, 1st Model American made by Uberti. They had been promising production for several years, but could not have been made available at a worse time of the peak of worldwide Covid pandemic. As far as I can tell, they hit the US market in early 2021 and quickly disappeared. Cimarron brought them in, but advertised them only briefly and today simply mentions the “cut” barrel 5” version. I am curious how many out there were purchased by members here and what you think of your purchases?
Anyway, I am happy to own one, but have not yet shot it. Reading the information that came with the gun, it was stated that the gun was carbonia blued, replicating the original Model 3 Americans and have to say that the fit and finish is great. The 8” was only available in 45 Colt, from what information I could find online. The serial number on my gun is 533, and I can find no information on how many came to the US. At least now my Uberti Schofield has a companion on my trips to the range.
