OK, so I have a friend who has TWO original U.S. Model 1881 Holster....these are the correct holster issued for the Schofield revolver with TWO holes so it would accept either the Schofield OR the Colt SAA.
His asking price is $650 and he tells me the condition is very good.
I feel the price is fair based on the scarcity of the holster and I feel that pairing it with my Schofield would add at least that value if not more in the event that I sold the gun down the road.
So, if you were in my shoes with this option.....what would you be inclined to do??
Here is a photo of a 1st Model US Schofield with leather that I owned several years ago.....and sold it with all the gear. Of course, that 1st model was in better condition than the 2nd model I currently own.
