I was lucky enough to acquire an all original 2nd model Schofield made in 1877. I have a S&W Collectors Assoc letter confirming it to be one of the 650 Civilian sold models, no US stamping. The cylinder locking spring was broken and I was able to work on a Uberti spring and fitted it in place. My problem is the two piece HAMMER PIVOT SCREW, very odd design. MY threaded pivot screw head end is missing. I may end up at my local gunsmith, asking to machine a new complete screw and cap. Problem, he has no original to copy and no dimensioned blue prints available. SURE WOULD BE WONDERFUL TO FIND A COMPLETE ORIGINAL FROM ANY MODEL AMERICAN..... ANY HELP WITH DIMENSIONS OR A LEAD TO AN ORIGINAL would be greatly appreciated... THANK YOU
