Mike, Super job of research! I think there's more "mystery" model 2s around than any other model S&W ever made, as something different is always showing up, whether a factory production or an after market job. I rthink Ron will have to expand his new book to two volumnes to get all the interesting info. down in print! I notice the screws are blued in your gun, while the rest is in the white. Perhaps they were replaced at some time in the past, althought the gun has never seen much use, if any. Are there any assembly/work numbers on the parts? Ed.

Don't mind you asking at all. Its worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it when it goes up for sale. ( Its not for sale)

Thanks, Ed...no answer for the blued screws other than they are all blued including the cylinder stop screw. Later replacement or just grabbed out of the parts bin when crafted, who knows? There are no other markings on any part other than indicated in the writeup.
