help with a .38 perfected model

my buddy found a .38 d.a. perfected model 5" barrel. in his dads footlocker when he passed.i would say its in very good condtion or good. is there any collecotrs value in this gun? what a guess on prices? if he decides to list it i will put it up on this forum. thank you all.
