Default TWO TRIPLE LOCKS

I just got these two TL shooters, $1025 for the 5 inch and the $900 for the 6 1/2". Both S&W re-nickels. The 5 inch is as 'new' condition as an oldie can be considering the rework that included the magna grips. The 6.5 shows its age and some condition with holster wear. I have a pair of pearls I will put on it and trade off the nice target grips. Took 6.5 out shooting and it shoots better than I can hold.

Nice guns. Thanks for sharing. Factory refinish is Ok with me. A great model, excellent condition, reasonably priced and super shooters. What ,more could you ask for? If you ever fall out of love with that 5", let me know. Enjoy
Bob

Should we call a brace of triple locks a hexalock?

Nice hand cannons, and both worth the prices paid, I think. Shiny nickel TLs have an appeal all their own. Do you know who made the target stocks on the 6.5?

A few months back I picked up a couple of refinished blue TLs (one a factory job from 1926, the other a pretty good out-of-house job that can't be much younger). I love them dearly. I hope you don't mind if I borrow your thread to show them off again. The twin-triple theme just calls to me.

I know what you mean about a gun that shoots better than one can hold. When I go target shooting, the part of the system behind the grip is always the weak link.

The target stocks look like Herrets to me. I have a set on my 29-2. Love 'em.

This is my TL. It was factory refinished in March of '63. It letters as shipping with the 5" barrel in nickel. It shipped Oct 1 1913 #5321. 5" guns in nickel are scarce, so hang onto that one.

Mine now wears the correct gold medallion service stocks like it shipped with. The bore is rough, but it doesn't keep it from shooting great at 25 yards.

Name stamped inside the 6.5 target grip looks like Kreits Idaho. The K looks fuzzy.

I have another TL. I got it in a poor cold reblue so I dolled it up a little myself:

I would be interested in the Target grips when you are ready to part with them.

VERY nice job of "dolling up"
