Default Old M&P followed me home - DOB anyone?

I found this old M&P in a local shop for not too much money. Dry and dirty but seemed sound so I grabbed it. A 1905 HE, 4th change, in 38 Spl. Serial is 274xxx. The book says 1915 to 1940. Can anyone date it closer than that? It turned out to be a good buy. The more I clean it, the better it gets. Shows holster wear and some freckles but locks up like a vault. No shake, no marks on the recoil shield, bore is like a new gun, timing is fine. Now I have to shoot it!
Thanks,
Bruce
