I am new to this forum and have searched for info on the revolver I am trying to identify. I think it is a .22/32 kit gun but there are certainly many photos of revolvers that look similar on this forum. I have posted pictures, if necessary I could post more. The gun has 22 LONG RIFLE CTG on the right side of the barrel, SMITH & WESSON on the left side of the barrel. 12935 stamped on the metal at the base of the handle grip, on the bottom of the barrel and on the back of the cylinder. 6 shot cylinder. Handle grip is "rounded" at the base.
Questions:
1. The gun is missing what I believe are the Extractor rod, Spring & Center pin: Will I have difficulty getting these parts replaced? Approximate cost of repair?
2. What model & [approximate] year is the gun?
3. Approximate value if I wanted to buy a similar [repaired] gun?
4. If it is a 'kit gun' could you explain the meaning?
5. How is the barrel length measured? Does this gun have a 4" barrel?
Thanks for all of your help.
