Default need help identifying 38 sp

I have a nickle plated 38 special. I think i have two serial numers if thats possible, 922XX is stamped on the bottom of the gun, under the flat barrel and also on the rear cylinder. 143XX is stamped inside of the frame. I would like to find out what model or year it is.

Welcome to the forum.

The serial number is 922xx. The 143xx stamped on an inner surface of the frame is a process control number that had meaning only until the gun's parts were assembled. It can be ignored for purposes of analysis and classification.

That serial number indicates that this is a .38 Hand Ejector, Model of 1905 First change. This model is also called the .38 Military & Police (or M&P) Model of 1905, First change. It was probably shipped about 1907. This is the round butt variety. Most 1905s were square butt revolvers.
