Shipping dates?
Any help in getting closer on shipping dates on these serial numbers?
S 1702XX I believe is should be in fall of 1957
S 2556XX I believe it should be in May of 1964
There both .44 Mags, the first is Not a "model marked" edition and the second is a 29-2.
Yes, I know I need to letter a bunch of these "oldies"...

First - early 1957
Second - early 1965

But if you really need to know the exact date, factory letters would be in order. Or maybe a call to S&W
