I think they are both o.k. prices but I would rather have the pre 15. Now if you want a C.C. gun then the 15-2 is a good choice.

I see a lot of the M-15s and Pre-15s in the $550 price range.

I'm not a big fan of the Model 15 snubs, but I guess I could use it for trade fodder. I am a big fan of the Pre 15 4" but I realize there are a lot out there at better prices I guess. I have an offer in on the Snub, he is in the south end of my state so FTF is out of the question. So he's deciding if he wants to try his hand at shipping.

I don't know what to think of a guy who won't drive a couple hours one way to pick up a nice S&W revolver he wants . . .
I suppose being in Alaska where everything is far away, I've become jaded. But there's nowhere in Georgia you can't get to and back in a day. I don't understand . . .
I agree the price on the early HP is a bit high. I'd probably go 6 bills on it, but not 7.5. FWIW.

I think you'll end up liking the 2" M15. I've pondered getting one to go with my other snubs. Depending on condition (you said excellent), $500 isn't bad. Not a bargain, but not bad.

I get spoiled I guess, with shipping and all. But he is about 4.5 hours one way. And that's if the traffic is good, and with these interstates, it won't be. I've made him a lower offer for the snub. It won't be a carry gun, just a safe gun that gets shot every once in a while. And on condition, he says there is 'no noticeable wear'. I don't see any muzzle wear in the pictures.

Don't think so. I'm not willing to pay that much for the Pre 15. Another one will come along. The other guy is giving me a decent deal on the 15-2. So after a 4 hour round trip it can be mine at a good price.

I once had a pre-15 combat masterpiece that I paided $399 for. Shooter grade with no box. Sightly worth more than a M&P 38 special but not by much.
Good luck.

The pre-15 looked very nice but priced too high, IMO.
