Another Highway Patrolman to the pile, a 28-1

Just trying to help. It came from a fellow in Tempe (very nice fellow, friendly, knowledgeable gentleman). Seemed genuinely glad to have me end up with it. The stocks are not numbered at all, it has been shot some, left hand threads on the extractor but it is not numbered, neither is the barrel or cylinder but I suppose that went away with all of them around this time period.

Congratulations on finding a gun that has been talked about being made in theory only - to this date. Now that we know they actually made one Model 28-1, it follows that they made more than one - encouragement to us all!

Thanks,

Jerry

A great find that has been talked about for years. Similar to the reporting (quite a few years ago now) of a Model 29-1 with a 4-screw frame and an extractor rod with a left hand thread. Just curious, is there an L stamped on the rear surface of the cylinder?

Jackpot!:

What year would a dash one have been manufactured?

Guys, let him get cleaned up. It's not every day one falls in the outhouse and pulls out the prize. Azmick how many gold coins were in you other hand? :)

Congrats, this will be a great story to follow. Please keep us updated.

Good gracious gurdy...... You just found that needle in the haystack. Congratulations! I am guessing 1961/62.
