Help with date/info on 27-2
New guy with a need for help on the date of mfg. 3 1/2" 27-2 N6362**
Are the stocks aftermarket? Please tell me what I need to know about this one. I bought it on impulse without researching it because I thought it was nice looking and and it's a great feeling gun in my hand.
I have a 6" 686, 6" 19-3, a few Pythons and this one just struck my fancy. Thanks for all the great advice on the forum, it's a great place.

Welcome to the Forum from Iowa.
Nice catch. The Catalog dates it to 1979.
Those stocks are pretty nice, but unfortunately are not factory.

Probably shipped in 1980 but the only way to tell for certain is a letter.

stocks are maybe altamonts???
I'm guessing its worth maybe $500... which I'm willing to give you for it.
