Default Pre-War Registered Magnum Price Check

Would very much appreciate knowledgeable feedback on the value of following:
-Pre-War Registered Magnum correctly numbered throughout
- Original blue finish, 8 3/4" barrel, King Luminous Red Bead FS, U-notch RS
- 97% condition with a cylinder drag line, some minor high edge wear, light muzzle wear, and some thinning blue on the left side of the barrel
- Original service grips numbered to the gun
- Original large Type 1 blue picture box correct for the gun (number not visible) and containing the grip adaptor (shipped unattached), extra U-notch RS for .38 Special, SAT, caution sheet, Helpful Hints brochure, material and workmanship green slip, and a set of original pre-war Roper grips
- S&W factory letter says 8 3/4" barrel with King Luminous Red Post FS and square notch RS; S&W Historical Foundation documentation says King Luminous Red Bead FS and "standard" RS. (pictures attached)
- Shipped from the factory in 1935 (Reg# 108)
Any and all comments relative to value of this piece would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The well experienced will reply here eventually but given the less common bbl length, box, documentation etc. I'd hazard a guess to the right buyer at something north of 8-9k! IMO
More close ups of the piece will certainly help.

With the provenance you have, the correct answer would be "priceless". As far as a rough estimate of it's monetary value, I don't think $7,000-$10,000 is not out of line. I think the 8 3/4 inch barrel adds value since that length was discontinued (I think in '39 when they "standardized" the barrel lengths and it became 8 3/8). They could be ordered with any barrel length you wanted of that length or shorter (in 1/4 inch increments down to 3 1/2 inches), there could be some one of a kind barrel lengths out there somewhere. Even after they "standardized" on 8 3/8, 6 1/2, 6, 5, 4, 3 1/2, you could still order a special length and pay $1 more. There couldn't be that many 8 3/4 inch ones out there, especially in such excellent condition. Congratulations.

The 8 3/4" barrel length was dropped and 8 3/8" became the longest available length due to USRA (US Revolver Association) rules restricting sight radius to 10" (I think).
