I was recently given an absolutely pristine set of stocks that I believe were originally on an M&P. They are numbered 455575 and I was wondering if anyone could provide an estimate as to when they left the factory.

That's not a complete serial # because it would have a letter prefix K or C which is usually not stamped on the stock. However by process of elimination and logical deduction, the stocks came on a gun produced in 1960-61 and could have been a Model 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, or several others. Unless they are rounded at the sides of the butt instead of square.
His title reads diamond Magnas, and to be Magnas with that serial # they have to have diamonds and can only be from a 1960-61 gun that has to have a letter K or C prefix in the guns serial #.
