Scored a couple N frames at the gun show today. Really interested in figuring out how old the 27 is. Its a no dash, 6 1/2" barrel,SN#S208XXX. Going to need some rear sights for the 28 but its super clean.

If it’s an “S” serial number prefix, it should be 1960/1961.

If you order a rear sight online or by phone, measure the position of the front screw. IIRC, there are two different hole positions, depending on when your revolver was built. The rear sight on a M28 is smooth, not ribbed.
