A Target Shooter's Dream - KB and The Outdoorsman
I had a nice Outdoorsman that was screaming for something to differentiate in from its more mundane K-22 relatives. I recently received a beautiful set of Keith Brown's finest (with a personal touch) and... wow! I love the look and the craftsmanship, but the way they fit my average size hands and point down range, make this configuration a target shooter's dream.
... beautiful grain and feathering in the wood that really pops in person.
I'd love to see your KB stocked shooters, especially those with grips carved in the Kearsarge style.
Thanks for letting me share,

Very nice set of KB grips, no wonder he is so far behind in production. Love the quality of his work. Nice combo, looks like they were made for each other, Larry

RK...I had Keith make these stocks over seven years ago. They also fit my hand very well and are "personalized". Click on the photo for a better look.

These stocks are on my 1905 target and were made by Al Linden, a famous Wisconsin stock maker in the early 1900s.

Richard:
Those are beautiful. That is the first I remember hearing of Al Linden. I would love to see more of his work. What a talented carver. Does the left medallion say ADL for Al D. Linden?

He shipped mine today. One month to the day of receiving my request. I think that is pretty speedy considering the time consuming things I requested. They will be posted right here on the Forum next week the day I receive them.

Bill, KB's work on those stocks is really special, but the wood itself is OUTSTANDING!!! The caramels, the reds, the browns, all swirling together in a marble-esque pattern... I know you showed those stocks before, but I did not recall just how beautiful the figuring in that wood was. Very nice. Thanks for sharing,
