Need birth year help
Need help with birth year on two revolvers.
First ; An early model 60 no dash. Serial no. R5xxx
Second ; Pre Model 10. Serial no. C156xxx
Appreciate any help.

Welcome! Your model 60 was made in 1969 and your .38 Military & Police is from late 1950 to early 1951.

Assuming it has an R prefix that you didn't mention, probably 1973. That year ended with R99999.

Thank you for your reply. I messed up! After reading the sticky above, I realize that I gave you the "assembly number" which is on the frame in a couple of places! So, I removed the grips and found the serial number on the butt. It is R77xx. Sorry for the confusion. It was a "learning moment" for me. Thank you again for your time.
