It seems to me that it has been a while since we have seen a thread on the K-22 Outdoorsman. I'm needing a K-22 O/D fix, and I invite all to post photos of their pre-war K-22s. I'll start it off with a couple of my favorites:

A clean example showcasing a set of Keith Brown Kearsarge stocks:

And a Quigley engraved one, also sporting some Keith Brown custom lumber:

Looking forward to seeing your pre-war K-22s.

Thanks for letting me share,

Beautiful guns Richard, great stocks and I'm pretty sure I can hear that engraving speaking. I've only got one pre-war K22 and it would be embarrassed to show up with those two so I'll save it for when we do a "scruffy with character K22s" post. Very much enjoyed seeing those two.

Whew Doggy those are GREAT!!
I was fortunate enough to have acquired one earlier this year with the standard grip panels (which are extraordinarily nice) and am very pleased with it. Your two are simply outstanding!!

Jeff:

I love "scruffy with character". Please post!!!

One of my favorites is the definition of scruffy with a lot of character...

... but still quite beautiful in a "been there, done that" kind of way. :)

Well, I picked one up a bit over a year ago. I think I bought it "way too early", but at the time I really wanted a decent one to add to my .22 HE accumulation, so I ended up with this one. It has a few minor dings and blemishes, but nothing really significant. Roy told me it left the factory in May of 1939. It is the gun shown in my avatar.

Richard, I would be happy to make an even trade with you for the first one shown in your OP. :D

Ok, here's the scruffy one and pictures are not good either but I'm not home to take better ones. Found this one in a pawn shop in Irving, Texas although I'll bet it wasn't W E Harrington who pawned it although I think he put lots of miles on it.
