Went to local shop today and saw something too stupid not to share

Pre-war M&P from the looks of it, with the barrel shortened and the front lug gone. Whoever did it probably had it nickeled too. Shame about them football grips....don't think I'd give over about a hunnerd for that one...

I attend most of the gun shows in Las Vegas area. I have gotten to know some of the dealers and sometimes one will ask my opinion of a S&W.
A dealer showed me the hard to find Victory model 2 inch. I looked the gun over and noticed the barrel had been cut behind the barrel lug. I asked what he paid and he said the guy gave him a deal $1000.
I explained what the problem was and why it was not what he was told.
I toured the show and found the gun on another dealers table and he had to tell me how good a deal he got on the 2 inch Victory. When I pointed out why it was not. He would not believe me. As far as I know he still has it.

Buy it cheap, dump the stocks, and hopefully, it shoots well. Then use it was a truck gun.

Bought one something like that a week ago. Cleaned it up and changed the grips. It started life as a Colt New Service in .455. Someone chopped the barrel and turned it into a .45 Colt. Shoots well, will make a good truck gun or night stand gun. All heads turn at the range when it goes off!
