I have some Altamont's but to my surprise I found the grips on my 5 screw isn't the same as on my model number N frames.

EDIT: Thanks for all the replies but due changes in circumstances I'm no longer looking for Cokes. 🙏

"Cokes" show up on eBay occasionally and sometimes here on the Classifieds section. Those run $500-$700 these days for nice ones. Eagle Grips makes some (the Heritage series) that are pretty close to the originals for considerably less.

"Cokes" would probably not have been original equipment on your pre-27 though unless it was a special order; non-relieved targets maybe or football relief targets. Good luck.

The factory installed cokes on the 44 Magnum and early Model 57's. They may have been a special order for the 357 Magnum but I don't believe it was the norm. Having said that, a nice set of coke would always enhance a 357 (pre-27). It'd hard to get people to part with them, and I have seen regular N targets advertised as cokes on the internet. Buyer beware. The WTB section here is a good place to start

Jeff is a lot faster than me.

Yes, Cokes do look good on .357 Magnums!

Watch the auction sites, place a WTB ad here or hope to get lucky at a show. They're typically not inexpensive.

Be cautious with WTB ads, and some people list old targets as cokes. Do your research!

There are good suggestions above to obtain a set of cokes. If price isn't a concern, you can try Rogers Guns and Grips, I've seen them there often. I spend too much time browsing for bargains, but lightning struck twice recently. Found this pair on a FB group for $245. They have been refinished, but I was still pleased to find them at that price.

I also watch GB way too much. Found this Highway Patrolman (wasn't actually looking for another one) and noticed it was wearing a nice set of cokes. No bids till the last minute. Picked it up for 975. Using my wife's reasoning, that means I got the Patrolman (shown below) for $500! The cokes now reside on a pre-29 that came to me with regular target stocks.

A little more information, please.

Are the grips on the 5 screw longer than on the Model marked N frames?

If you want an exceptional pair of properly fitted stocks, contact Curt Harlow (44magget) on this forum and have him build you a pair.

Not knowing the ops S&W experience and knowledge level could it be he is using the wrong verbiage?
Many do they call just about any target style grips cokes and it would seem to me to be a possibility.

I don't think these are Cokes. The checkering doesn't extend far enough in any direction. I could of course be wrong, but I believe these to be ordinary targets.
Thank you gdogs
You are correct
I meant to post eBay Cokes on my used but not abused Pre-27 :o

+1. Not only will he build you a beautiful set of stocks in your choice of wood, he'll probably save you a few Benjamins over a set of original S&W Coke Bottle stocks.
