Great gun and great stocks too, neither of which are easy to find. We'd love to hear the story as to where you found the gun and the stocks. When you're looking for council, hard to find a better source than RKmesa. Enjoy.

Channeling my inner Paul Harvey with "the rest of the story"...;) I was the second place bidder on the GB auction (Mike graciously allowed me to save my $'s for another purchase - thank you very much).:D I'm glad that when I was outbid, it was by a great member of this forum and that that little filly was headed to an appreciative new home, surrounded by a bunch of cool guns and an excited owner.:) All the while I was bidding on the gun, I had my eye on that set of smooth non-recessed 1950s presentation stocks on eBay. Had I won the GB auction for that pinto, I was planning on making a play on the stocks (as the gun sold wearing a set of faux pearl magnas). When Mike won the gun, we PM'd back and forth and I sent a link to the grips that belonged on the pinto, even though I thought them a bit pricey. Seeing them together, Mike made the right call.:)

Once again - Congrats!!! And thanks for sharing her with the rest of us. I look forward to seeing her in person (along with some of your other cool guns) in Tulsa at the Symposium this summer.:)

I have a twin to yours. One of my most prized posessions! Congrats.

Randy ... and if I recall correctly, you purchased your pinto with an engraved Combat Masterpiece that shipped in 1965... Both of them are great guns.
