Hi All, Is there an on online reference or can someone tell me what years the 2 screw grips where issued with the S&W medallions and what years they where issued without. Still on the hunt for period correct grips for my 1912 dated 22/32. Thank you.

grips

No medallions from ~1920 thru ~1930.

You need gold plated brass medallions that are recessed.

I have a set of the assembly order 22/32 grips, any idea when the bottom #2262 was shipped? I purchased these a few years ago to go with my 22/32 that was shipped with the regulation Police grips in 1920.

Gold washed medallions on 2 screw walnut stocks from 1910 to 1920. In 1920, single screw Regulation Police stocks were used on 22/32 HFT for a short time, with rebated back strap round butt grip frame. Next were convex top 2 screw stocks w/o medallions were optional until late 1923. Aug. 29, 1923 change order replaced 22/32 HFT square butt Regulation Police convex top stocks, returning to 2 screw target stocks as standard but with convex tops, and w/o medallions. 1930 to WWII, HFT RP extended stocks used with silver medallions.

Let me add a couple images to show the differences. First is the 1910s medallion & early 1920s RP stocks. Second is the 1920s extended non-medallion stocks. Third is the 1930s silver medallion RP stocks.
