Default Model 27s' an informal pictorial essay. 11 pictures, not dialup friendly.

Hello fellow Smith and Wesson fanatics.

I traded for a 3 1/2 inch 27-2 nickel yesterday. I let go the 6" model 16-4 for it. N frames rule my world. I can't help myself. I love shooting 38 wadcutters through about any Smith , but the N-T 357 is particularly appealing to me ,I shoot all of them well.

Here they are ,as the collection stands today. Photographed out by the lake, on this balmy south Florida Sunday morning.

27-2 3.5" N164xxx 1973. Genuine "Fuzzy Farrant" grips.

Earlier 3.5"357 with 'speed hammer' shipped to Miami Fl. 1950.

5" 27-1 S221xxx

The 520 heard the commotion and insisted on being photographed as well. Thanks to Diamondback Dick for a beautiful revolver.

5" 27-2 S297xxx , wearing coke stocks. These feel fantastic on this particular configuration. Much more so than magnas or full size targets from the period.

4" blue 27-2 counterbored and pinned 1980. N832xxx

27-2 4" nickel counterbored ,not pinned N941xxx transition, 1982

Regards ,,Allen Frame
