Better:

BK Grips | 2-Clip Grip Adapters for Revolvers

Original:

Tyler Manufacturing and Distribution Company, Inc

I have one T grip but many BK grips. And I know that when I pay for BK's then I will get them. Tyler went through a very bad stretch that I still just don't trust. And now BK's come with a double tab built into them. Likey:

As much as I recommend the BK grips, the O/P asked about Tyler T-grips The best advise I can offer is to try E-bay. Now that Tyler is back in business perhaps the price on the secondary market has come down.

Are BKs made of metal or plastic?

BK's are a resin cast in a mold. The tabs go through the body. They are rock solid.

I have Tylers and BK grips. For me they both work well. BK filled a void when Tyler was not shipping. BK's are easier to buy and quickly mailed. When I bought mine I used PayPal. I don't know if they still accept it. Both of these Bodyguards are wearing BK's.

I use Tyler T grips, bought 2 recently from the company and received them 2 weeks later.
For me, they improve the feel of the grip.

On Pre 27

On 17-2

Black_Sheep,

Please keep us updated on this. I recently acquired a Pre-Model 28, 5 Screw and would love to put a Tyler on it.

Thanks

Jim

I had a set of T-grips ordered for my Colt Agent when all the commotion started about whether or not Tyler was out of business. I wrote off the money I had spent on the grips. I received the grips soon after reading that the family issues were resolved and the company was under new management. They appear to be back on track. I have a 36-1 on layaway and will be ordering a set when I get the 36-1 out of jail.

I ordered two sets from Tyler (black "J" and silver "K") in September and received them in two weeks time or a couple of days less. They certainly improve the grip I get on my 3" model 65 and on my 36 Chief's Special. I would have no concerns about additional orders to Tyler.

I have Tyler T-Grips from the 50's and 60's on some of my guns. They are made of metal and have been very durable over the years. I don't own any BK Grips, but being made of resin, I'm wondering how durable they will be over the years? Both models are apparently the same price and I wouldn't hesitate ordering some Tyler-T's from the new owner. Customers are reporting good service from the new guy.

I sent an order for a grip for my Pre-Model 28 on 1/5/12.
The check cleared on the 10th. Today is the 19th. Nothing yet. According to their site, that piece is in stock. Hopefully by this weekend.

Oh did I post too soon!
It arrived today!
Fit and finish is beautiful and gives that hand filling feel to the smaller magna grips on my pre-model 28.
Thank you Tyler Manufacturing for delivering an excellent product and I apologize for my impatience!
Now I need to set up an account to post photos. Have had bad experience in the past with them being hacked but will try again here when I get the time.
Again, +1 to Tyler Manufacturing.
