Replaced one I sold a few years ago and have kicked myself ever since.
As usual my pix is not as good as the gun.
There also was a well used four screw 29 at SM. Has what I believe are cokes. Some bozo cut out more wood on the left for ejecting brass. The 29 is too high mileage for me.
Looks like a nice one. I've made the same mistake before, getting rid of a gun and then suffering the sellers remorse thing. Hopefully I'm over doing stuff like that.
Probably the worse case I've ever had was over a model 19 snub. I dunno about those little Combat Magnums, what it is, but that thing really got to me. I finally got another and I ain't even going there again. Glad you found a replacement.
We should form a club for sellers remorse. I have done it more than I like. Actually had to to help 2 daughters through college. I raised them as a single dad. So I have sold several for a very good cause.
I have the double remorse of buying a Remington 725 280. Fixed the stock up with glassbed and new finish. It grouped well under 1"@100 w/ factory ammo. Sold it, not sure why. A few years passed. Found it again and bought it. Interim owner messed the stock up, so I fixed it all up again. Then the daughter years came. Sold it again. It is gone for good. But I have made a 721 into a 280 with a Larry Brace installed Donnelly match grade barrel, and a factory Classic stock. About a 900$ investment in a 500$ rifle. But it shoots great. And it's a 280.......

Reason: typo
Nice 57 and congrats on the replacement. Sold a primo 58 years ago for a couple hundred dollars with the box and all. Finally replaced it at a substantial price hike last year and am glad I did.
BTW mine looked just like yours back in 76. It's my sentimental favorite and still shoots better than I do these days. Love the round but deers Do Not! 44 and counting.
