14-3
I got a 14-3 earlier in December. Early Christmas present from my cat. With all the holiday activities I didn't get a photo posted until now. Took it out to the range today. Shooting clay birds on the hill at 35 yards, and the small pieces. Single action only, came with Pachmayr grips. Very nice gun.

Ahrends retro combat moradillo. I bought them unfinished and did my own oil.

The model 14 is one of the best shooting S&W revbolvers made and in the 50's and 60's was used in competition. They are all great shooters and a great revolver.

Great looking K-38 Target Masterpiece. With 158 gr LSWC's they make a great pistol for NRA Distinguished Revolver matches. Like mine, yours has the target trigger and hammer. Probably the best shooting revolver in my collection.

Were you shooting single action, or is the gun a single action only M14?

Single action only. Pulling the trigger for a double action rotates the cylinder, but there is no cocking of the hammer. I understand some of these guns came from the factory this way. I've seen how to do it in the Kuhnhausen manual. Sweet trigger.

I asked because it is my understanding that the SAO guns are less common and are more valuable than their SA/DA counterparts. Very nice. They did come from the factory that way. Are you saying they can be converted to SAO? A factory letter might be in order.

How to convert S&W to single action so it can be imported to Ca
I didn't look too closely at this thread, I haven't reviewed the manual, but yes, they can be converted. Also can be converted to double action only.
I could get a letter, but I plan on shooting the gun a lot before looking to sell it. My kids will probably want to keep it in the family, along with the safe full of other goodies.
