Default Chief's Special Engraved

I was looking on the local gun trader and I saw this gun posted it interested me because it has a letter that says it factory class a engraved its all original numbers matching but the grips aren't mentioned in the letter leading me to believe they were put on at a later date is this gun worth 800 dollars

heres his ad
Gun retains 98% original finish overall. Excellent bore. Excellent working order. Original case colors on the hammer and trigger. All markings are clear. Excellent working order. Flat latch. Has a set of mother of pearl S&W medallion grips which are not listed in the factory letter. Grips are in fine condition with a chip out of the left grip where it meets the frame. This gun was shipped from the S&W factory on October 3, 1958 and is listed as being Class A engraved. 2 inch pinned barrel. Serial number is 111098.

I'd offer $700/750 but I would buy it at $800 if I had to.

Hard to find an engraved gun under 1000.00 at the local shows. I will snag one eventually, Larry

Are you asking solely because you want to own a really nice pistol, or are you trying to flip it ?

I just copy/pasted your ads description and did a google search.

- I found your ad on Armslist Tennessee placed second week of April for $800
- I found same ad on Armslist TEXAS placed first week of April for $1300
- AND currently listed on Gunauction for $3850

Get the drift??

Please be careful as you Internet shop
