Can someone date my J-frame for me please?
It is a Model 60 no dash. Serial number R133XXX.
I went into my favorite LGS today to ask them to keep an eye out for a nice J-frame for me. Lo and behold, this one was sitting in the case.
I'll post some pics when I get it cleaned up and ready.
Thanks.

Does your j-frame put out?
OMG, I totally misunderstood...
Ooooh, I'm going to get in trouble for this one!

Date it, hell. I'd marry it.
Can it cook?

Honestly, I was trying to figure out some way to work that concept into my question, but decided that I'm a little too new to try that.

A couple of pics.
This little guy is in really good shape. It has obviously been used, but well loved. A couple of little nicks here and there, but it locks up tight and the trigger is like butter. Sadly, I'll have to wait a week to christen it.

Just remember to get all, and I mean all of that Hoppes #9 off of the nickel finish. Ammonia is the enemy of nickel. I use it on my nickel guns, but after wiping it down well I hose it down with Rem-oil to remove all remnants of the bad stuff. It keeps it from clouding up. Nice piece.

No worries, a Model 60 is stainless steel, no nickel.

Looks real nice with the diamond Magnas but they would be for a Model 60 without the R serial prefix made in the 60's.
Diamond Magna stocks made for Model 60's are unique in that they have SS washers when the norm was blue steel washers.
