My matched-pair of trade-in M64's from the Sportsmans Outdoors Superstore offering back in late-summer 2012 (@ $249.99 ea, shipped).

Although it seems like a questionable use of funds for recently-manufactured (i.e. 1996) S&W's, I'd like to get these 'lettered' since I'm curious where they came from.

Hold onto that CRPD Model 60! That is a difficult one to find as Con Rail only bought a small number of them. Nice group of Ga. Parole Board guns too!!

I have a total of three former LE guns.
2 model 4006 in 40 cal one is a former Tulsa PD unit marked TPD and unit number 0204 Other is a former Nevada prison and parole unit.
The other is a 12ga Mossberg also a TPD gun and marked same as the hand gun above

I just realized this is the post 1961 forum and the guns I posted earlier are all old ones. Here are a couple of newer ones.

Not exactly a trade in as I bought ir from the retired agent who carried it for $185.

Got this around 1989 for $215. It arrived in unfired, NiB condition. Apparently it was never issued.

This one is stamped for the Corpus Christi PD.

This nickel 15-3 letters as sent to "Louisiana University." Not sure if that would be LSU or the U of L. There is no "Louisiana University."

I believe, but cannot document, that this M58 was used by the PD in a northern NJ city. I bought is as a police trade in in 1989 for $189.

Rather than start a new thread, at risk of harm, I'll just revive this one.

Has anyone else observed a California Department of Corrections (CDC) marked S&W Model 10-10 with what appears to be "hash marks" or "notches" applied to the right side cover? If I can get images to load, please take a look and let me know what you believe them to represent? Having worked a couple years behind the wire at a maximum security brig on the west coast in early 1970s, I have an idea, but I would like other's input.

I have been looking for a good 357 trade in. I can find a few vendors with them but does anyone know of a good source for these at this time? Any particular vendors to get good trade in revolvers?

I have a Kansas Highway Patrol 66-1, a Model 10 with an inventory number poorly etched on the butt, an unmarked 65, a marked 65-4 I just picked up and an unmarked nickel Model 19 that was advertised as a police trade in. Photo tomorrow.

Guns.com still has some 65-?s at $499.99. Most that members have received have been in very good shape, like the one I got.

Centerfire systems had 65s, but they’re out of stock now. They have some project M10 barrel-less frames with cylinders.
