Model 17 manufacture date

OK, I just bought a Model 17, 22 LR, blue finish, 6 inch barrel, with serial # K410XXX and would like to know the manufacture date. Any help is appreciated. How are these classified into "17-1,17-2,17-3, & 17-4 categories? Thanks.

Per the SCSW Third Edition:
1960 K386805-K429894.

Is your gun a 17-1 or a 17?

Prior to 1957 it was the K-22 Masterpiece. Rename Model 17 after 1957.
Model 17: 1957-1959
Model 17-1: 1959-1961
Model 17-2: 1961-1967
Model 17-3: 1967-1977
Model 17-4: 1977-1988
Model 17-5: 1988-1990
Model 17-6: 1990-1994
