Default A Model 36 Story

I just had this Model 36 come into my possession as a result of my father's death in 2013. Bittersweet to say the least.

In about 1979 or so, he bought the Model 36 as a home defense pistol that he felt both he and my mom could handle for that purpose. I remember when he bought it. I was in my early twenties.

Dad didn't shoot much or collect guns (he did collect other things) and I doubt that he put more than fifty rounds through it. I'm pretty sure that I can take credit for the turn line since he let me shoot it whenever I asked.

He kept it in the original box and with the other items it contained.

Hope one of my sons will enjoy it one day.

It will mean a tremendous amount to him. I have my father's K-22 and I treasure it.

Nice story.

I'm sorry for the way the 36 came into your possession, but it's a fine little gun. I'm sure it will be a treasured heirloom and stay in the family.

Your loss is profound and always will be. Your Dad left you something very precious (Model 36) to remember him by. Passing it on to your son is a wonderful way to remember "you" by.
