Stainless Steel Model 10-6 ???

I saw this gun on Guns America Smith & Wesson Model 10-6 revolver ~ .38spl for sale

I have the same gun but always assumed it was nickel, a dull nickel but nickel.

I would hazard a guess that it’s actually a hard chrome finish combined with a misinformed seller.

If it is a Model 10-6 it is a carbon steel gun. Period.

The one anomaly in the 10-6 revolvers is the relative handful that were chambered for the .357 Magnum, starting with 1200 made for the NYSP.

But stainless? No.
