If it is a Model 10-6 it is a carbon steel gun. Period.

The one anomaly in the 10-6 revolvers is the relative handful that were chambered for the .357 Magnum, starting with 1200 made for the NYSP.

But stainless? No.
 
I would venture to say that the pistol was refinished, but I'm no expert
