Looks just super. A great recommendation for work by the mothership.

That's absolutely beautiful! Well worth the wait/cost in my opinion!

Those 19/66 with 2.5" barrels are so damn sexy! One of my all time S&W favorites.
Congratulations you have a very beautiful piece.

Looks very nice. Do they still stamp the date or other mark on the frame? Curious minds need to know.

They really did a stellar job on your revolver!
I sent a Model 10-5 back to them for re-bluing and could not have been more pleased. The personnel I spoke with were very "people-oriented" to boot.

The newer S&W's are finished with a blue that is washed away by gun solvents containing ammonia. Does anyone know if S&W is refinishing guns with the "new and improved" bluing? Or do they use the old formula for the older guns?

Very nice. The 2.5 19/66 has always been one of favorites. I am impressed by the factory’s craftsmanship, the overall finish, the price and the Ahrends......great birthday present from you to you.....enjoy it.

Had S&W reblue a Model 28-2 about 3 years ago. Very happy with the service and final results.

I have a nickel 29-2 that I have contemplated sending in for a refinish & maybe some factory engraving.

Been thinking about sending my 28-2 in as well. Finish is rough, and timing is good, no rust. What finish did you have done?

They do stamp the frame, it has an RB in a triangle on the grip frame, on the left side.

I'm sure that they do not use more than one bluing process in the factory. I personally would not use the factory bluing refinish service or recommend it to anybody. Too many problems when folks try to clean guns with older but common solvents. Having said that, everybody obviously needs to do what they feel is best for them. The new stuff looks ok but durability seems to be out the window-I wouldn't trust it!

Just the standard matte blue. Also had the extractor rod and rear sight replaced. Came back like a new revolver. Very happy.
