On Friday I ordered two pairs of BK Grip adapters. One for a 10-8 and another for a 4" 28-2 with magna's. Both shooters of mine. The arrived today!!

And I'll post pictures after they're installed...which will not be until Christmas. I don't even get to open the package. Boy my wife has good taste.

It's past time to order a couple myself. I remember the shipping time to be really fast and the fit to be right on the money. And without all the drama from Tyler's.

I really like Tyler T grips myself but it's nice to know there are options. I don't know how well he is shipping now a days.

I'm a huge fan.

I have found that extra clip on the BKs to be a significant improvement over the T-Grip. T-Grips are not nearly as stable, which is very evident with heavier guns like an N frame.

You know, if all things had been equal I'd of probably opted for a Tyler. If for no other reason than I'm old and I know the T-Grip has a long history. But I wanted these for a Christmas gift and I couldn't risk not getting them in time.

I wondered about the difference with the BK having the extra set of tabs. Makes sense that it would be more stable. In looking at the pics some of you have posted the BK looks great on an N-frame.

Curious, after clamping down the stock screw on these do you end up making a little indent in the edge of the wood? I'm not overly concerned as the first two I'm putting the grip adapters on do not have grips numbered to the guns. And, I'm anxious to see how much better I can hold my aim. After all, that IS why I'm doing this. A K-frame target is great for me. A N-frame target not so much. Some I can hold pretty stable but other are a bit too thick.

I've used the BK adapters since they first came on the market. I've got a dozen or so in use. They are an excellent product by a company that provides GREAT service at a fair price.

Question:
Do the grips have to be modified to fit over the tabs?
If not, does it make a gap between the grip and frame?

The tiny gap left after installing either a BK or a Tyler is normally not noticeable, and doesn't leave marks worth worrying about on the inside of the stocks. Your 2-3 day delivery on the BK adapters are about his normal turn around time.

This is one of those areas where I just don't agree with the pack.

I don't like either the look or feel of grip adapters, but then I'm also partial to rubber combat grips on stainless guns, so I really am a standout.

The adapters do give a certain "vintage" look, which is kinda cool, but for guns I actually use I am just not a fan.

Richard - I'd hazard a guess that there's a mighty large camp that agrees with you. There are plenty of rubber grips that give a superior grip. For me, you nailed it when you mentioned the vintage look. I want the walnut stocks and the adapters (hopefully) will give me the edge I'm looking for in shooting.

Thanks for the kind words, and for the support this forum has given to BK Grips since the very beginning (a J frame adapter with a single clip.)

For EricR and the other technical types - the clips are made from 0.0135" (also 28 gauge or 10 ounce) copper. Given the distance from the grip screw to the front strap of the grip frame, the inherent flexibility of wooden grip panels, and the fact that the clips run pretty much across the grain of the panels, I'd be surprised if the clips left any impression.

I have both Tyler and BK and to be honest I like the BK unit better. I find they fit better and are more stable. For a plus on the Tyler adapters they are metal and for stainless guns is the best choice.… aesthetically.

Merry Christmas!! Oh man I think I'm gonna love these! Got to open my package from BK this morning. Won't be able to shoot until later this week. Fit to the frame feels tighter than a *****'s dream.
