Around 1975 or so I believe. Wow, very nice pristine 28! Great gun; you're gonna love owning it. There are fewer and fewer of those in that condition these days. Great find.

Wow! Has that one even been fired outside of the factory test firing?

That 28 looks SUPER NICE! Congratulations! I have been casually looking for a 4" for a few years to go with my 6" no dash from 1960. Bob

I can't believe that I found one in that condition for a reasonable Price too. GB 884420603. So I guess it's a mid 70s gun. I'll post some more pics when it arrives.

Agreed, I think you paid a VERY fair price. One of my 28-2's is only about 4000 production different from yours. I was told by another forum member it would date to an Oct '75 delivery.

Very nice 28-2! I managed to get this 28-2 with a very early N Serial #, without the box and stuff, at a reasonable price not too long ago. Appears to be unfired outside of the factory. Good deals can be found.

Beautiful! Barely even a turn line on it. SN puts it between 1974-1977, most likely toward the last of that period. Standard Catalog says most of the last half of the N200,000's were M28's and M58's. This one rates a letter, I'd say. Welcome to the M28 world; I've got a 6" dash 2 version.

That's what I was thinking. Can OP post a picture of the front of the cylinder, swung out so both it and the recoil shield are visible?
