Very nice and very interesting.
Are those grips original?

Very nice.... I want one...
One showed up at my local shop about 9-10 years back and they sold it to someone who was standing there when the distributor's box was opened.... I found out about it later, still bummed that I missed it.
Now that is truly a unicorn... Congrats. One of these days I'll find one...
Would be a good companion to the Ashland non-underlugged 4" and 6" guns

To be clear. This is for your gun, right? The OP's could be different (the Spec. Ord. number most likely).

Your adventure with the importation is a bit like buying a Class 3 auto or a suppressor. Lots of paperwork and bureaucracy..... then a long WAIT.....but worth it in the end.
Looks like that's in the backyard. You didn't threaten the woodchuck with that weapon did you?

Sweet PC 617-1 !
IIRC there were only 3 Performance center K-22 variations, they need to make some more , maybe a 4" version of the slab side.

That is a cool one. I've never seen one in that "configuration."
Congratulations!

I know a lot of people don't like them, but I really like the slab side barrel configuration! That is one really neat gun! I wonder why Smith never marketed those here in the states?

+1 !
Or...Why not simply do a real M-617? A true M-17, K-22 but only in stainless. WHY they went to the ugly, FAR too heavy underlug escapes me.
I have a pair of the 4" and 6" Ashland SS guns and they are EXACTLY what they should have done, but in quantity.

Geez...between the German export/import and those true model 617's without the underlugs I cannot stop drooling on my keyboard.
Green with envy.

The German export would be the ultimate Steel Challenge revolver if it had ten shots.
