Default Show n tell s&w nickel

I took out my s&w m 27-2 in the world famous nickel finish for a show n tell for some of the family. Even my son who isn’t crazy about guns chimed in. Which is great. Everyone wants there ccw permit. That’s awesome everyone wants to go shooting now. This tells me the additions to my family are gun lovers. I truely blessed. Nothing like nickel to get there attention. I only showed them one m27-2. Guns rock. I’m converting them one person at a time.

Mine is not original to the gun I am sure and not a high dollar S&W with a box but someone did a nice job putting a nickel finish on it before I found it at a pawn shop.

Not the best picture, three of my favorites with bigmtnmans Elk Horn grips.Always partial towards 27`s but the 3 inch 66 really carries and points the best.

This 27-2 will shoot way better than I can.
And is a fine off-road gun.

I love nickel plated revolver and the Model 39 in nickel. I only have 3 nickeled revolvers but hope to increase that number.
A SW 38 M&P model 1905 2nd change (renickeled) a 10-6 4" and a 29-2 6"

Here is a pic of 29-2

One of my few shiny objects. Mod. 10-5
She wears Sambar stags rather well, and oddly, the wood stocks are one digit off from the S/N. This one has the smoothest action in my Smith collection and is a joy to carry and shoot.

I think that I only have three nickel guns in my collection, but by far and away, the most pristine is my 15-9 McGivern...

Add my 8 3/8" M48-3 with 3 T's, red ramp sight and W/O rear. The stocks appear to be rosewood. All work done courtesy of S&W

My wife even made a Valentine’s Day ‘card’ for me that goes well with the 3.5”!

For some reason, your pics don't show on my page, I think my spyware/antivirus blocks that hosting site.

Thanks to you, I also have one of those, my only nickel gun. I maybe should have gone after the second one you told me about. I'm not normally a fan of nickel plated guns, I prefer blued and stainless.

I just have this one 586 in nickel. The only other nickel gun I ever had was a series 70 1911. Mistake getting rid of that

Only have one. A Model 10-7 4" from 1979. Carried one just like this one in the 1970's - early 1980's as a uniform LEO. I like nickel. We had black leather gear and the nickel revolvers made for a sharp uniform. Wish I had a better picture. ( When I first started in 1976 I carried a 5" Nickel 10. We transitioned to all 4" around 1978.) Before and after Flitz / Ren Wax treatment.

It took me several years to find the right nickel Model 10 like I carried back in the day. Original nickel finish revolvers will have an N stamped on the bottom of barrel on the flat. Back before stainless steel revolvers appeared on the scene, nickel was marketed as being a more durable finish than blue. You will see police department trade ins from 1980s in nickel. Flitz polish will make them shine.

That’s a great gun Pete. My only L-frame is a 681. Won’t be my last. Jim
