K Frame Football Cutout Stocks
Forgive me if I didn't use the correct vernacular.
Since I became interested in Smith and Wesson revolvers, I have found more revolvers without correct stocks than with. Lately, I have been blessed to find a few nice sets of targets/combats. These include two sets of "Football Cutout" stocks. One is for an N frame and one for a K frame.
I was surprised how much smaller the K Frame stocks from that period seemed compared to the speedloader cutout stocks I am used too. By contrast, the N frame targets feel about the same as my speedloader cutout targets.
I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but the FB cutout stocks for a K frame are black washer stocks while the FB cutout stocks for an N frame have silver washers.
Are the FB cutout K frame stocks known to be smaller or is something off with my set? (The first photos are Ks)

I am not sure if the size of K targets changed over the years, but the black washers were in use before the later silver ones. S&W eliminated the diamond in the checkering pattern in 1968, so your K grips are 1968 or later. I think S&W went to the silver washers about 1973.

I found an old thread here that says the RH-5214 marked here is the part number for this panel. It suggests KT-WAL might mean K Frame Target-Walnut.
Does that sound right?

That is correct.
And the RH means it is the right hand panel.
