Does anyone know if S&W made their own grip screws and escutcheons for their revolvers ?

If not, does anyone know the company or companies ? Still in business ?

I am trying to purchase the grip screw and escutcheons for the factory grips which are numbered to my model 60 stainless from the mid 1960's. I believe the screw is 3 X 48 X 1".

The threaded right hand escutcheon has come loose and been lost.

Have checked many companies on the internet but to no avail.

Thanks for your help.

The model 41 grip screws are the same thread although they may be longer and would need to be shortened. Escutcheon should interchange also. These may be easier to find, possibly.
This is just a suggestion as I have not tried this myself.

P.S. Welcome to our forum!

Edit...I just checked Numrich Gun parts and they list screws W/escutcheons for the 41 as being in stock.

You might have to buy a trashed set on eBay, then salvage the parts you need. I only have a few i and j frame escutcheons and screws in my spares organizer.
There also was a seller in eBay that was reproducing some S&W grip screws and parts.

Thanks for your replies.

Have not been able to find an original escutcheon nut for the RH grip nor a set of "cheap" grips from which to extract an escutcheon nut.

I found Tombstone Gun Grips in Oregon and have ordered escutcheons in 4-40. Dave Corbin was very helpful and answered my questions.

Great forum!

Thanks.

Jim
