At 70+, I'm not much interested in big boomers or carrying heavy guns. Have a model 10 4" bull for PPC matches, a .45 LC for hunting, and M60 3" for carry. The snubby, at 26 ounces is just a lug to conceal-carry, and with just +P loads, bounces too much for dark-of-night, in-the-ally use. I'm leaning back toward a .32 H&R Mag 3" carry gun, some woodswalking, etc. (Have had two Rugers). If dangerous country, would open-carry the M60 on hip, fully loaded up.
I've located an ugly Model 30-1 revolver with mostly external rust blotches and very small pits. Barrel and chambers look about average, maybe better. Thinking about conversion to .32 H&R but want to make certain that its lockup is tight enough to handle those loads over long term.
Would get a S&W Airweight if I could find one that was affordable. but they hardly ever come up for sale!
