Found a nickel 19-3 6" P&R with original looking grips (but nicely rounded). Extremely smooth action with fantastic single and double action break. Probably 97% gun with some mild frosting under the grip. $700 from an individual plus around $15 in gas to go get it. Not real big on nickel but it just spoke to me. And the superb action is a plus. (My other 3 shiney toys are: Colt Officer 45ACP, Colt 6" Diamondback 22 and an older 6" Model 29.)

Those stocks look like they are J frame round butt stocks. Otherwise,
a very sweet nickel finish Model 19-3. Serial number is very interesting.

The stocks are simply factory targets that have been modified by re-shaping by a previous owner.

Yes, they seem to be factory targets. Whoever did the rounding really did a superb job - look nice and are surprisingly comfortable in the hand. I usually prefer original stock components but have decided to leave this one alone.
Most of my old Smiths have excellent actions but this one is a step above.
