Default Tanaka Works 29 replica (plastic bb)

Since they’ve designed it to look like the cylinders are recessed, I figured this would hopefully be the forum for this post.
I have a Tanaka.. I think the seals are gone as it doesn’t seem to hold gas, But that can probably be fixed.
A pretty cool thing to have for all you collectors out there, Even though it’s not a genuine S&W, But I wondered if any of you guys had seen one of these before?
I don’t think Tanaka make these more as the licensing went to Umarex For their metal BB version, But this looks a little more realistic.
Of course, The tolerances finish and ABS plastic are a giveaway Immediately, But I have to say I think they did a really good job back then and getting it about as close as they could.

I think maybe a couple hundred bucks when I got it?
They might be up to 300 or ballpark?
There are still some available, but the finish is different.
The finish The one I have is pretty easily scratched.
Still, pretty cool for a collector who is into all things S&W.
It shows the enthusiasm That Japan has For this part of American culture. Since they are not allowed the real thing, They put this out for the people who were really into it.

Quick edit… $427 For one 4” With the more matted finish I have just seen online!!!
So, Yes, they are up there. That’s pretty crazy money, but I don’t think they are making these more.
