Mode 36 nickel 70% of the time in a HBE Pro TL IWB holster. If going into unfriendly areas usually strap on my BHP just for the extra firepower. The 36 then becomes my BUG. It's just so easy to put on and take off.

Warm weather is my model 36. Since I got it, its been my almost constant companion.
With cold weather approaching, I'll be switching to my 28-2. The barrell has been switched out to a 3" and its had plastic surgery to go from a square butt to a round butt. Badger boot grips make it easier to carry discreetly.

I own two revolvers, both S&W. A model 60 and a model 642 airweight. The 642 gets a lot of carry time since it carries so nice in my front pocket.

I have carried for over 40 years. Mostl of the time as a LEO, but 18 years as a license PI. I have carried a number of firearms. By 70% of the carry time was a Model 10 Snub, or as of late a SW Model 442 - I have almost always carried some sort of a 38 SPL, and now today I only wheel guns that are either 38SPL or .357 Mags.

Either a M60 or a M13, depending on how I'm dressed and where I am. Occasionally I switch it up to an auto and carry my 1006, but not very often.

Every day I carry my 637-2 loaded with SB GDHP's, it's backed up by my issued Glock 19 when I am working. My pocket holsters vary from day to day but the 637 is always there. The only modification I made was to have the hammer spur removed (which I see a lot of people did here as well).

I do at times carry a 3" Model 10 round butt. My normal carry is a 357sig with a 15 round mag. In the summer with no cover garment I carry P3AT.

I put the sig away for special social work, and now the model 36 or 2" model 10 are the first ones out the door. My other "go to" for summer wear is the Ruger Police Service 6 in 357 with the 2 3/4" bbl.

Usually a pistol. Thinner than a cylinder, most of the time.
When it is a revolver it is a 2-1/2" 19.

I never leave the house without my Bodyguards.
A blued model 38 no dash from 1985 in the left front pocket in a DeSantis "Nemesis" pocket holster and a blued model 49 no dash from 1970 something on the hip in a Galco "Concealable" OWB holster. I carry a pair of Bianchi Speed Strips as well.

During my daily trips to and from the office, there is a Taurus 85 in my briefcase, a NAA mini .22LR in left front pants pocket and a KT P32 in right front pants pocket. After hours, there is usually a S&W 642 in a belt holster, or in a pocket holster in left inside jacket pocket. A Colt SF-VI is an occasional substitute for OWB carry.

Having acquired a 646, 624, & 657 within the last nine months, I wear one of them daily in a cross-draw. HOWEVER, when going on Indian Res. property, I wear my Colt LW Cmdr. in a Galco paddle holster, which I can quickly/easily take off & leave in my car.

Usually a Kahr P9 Covert with WW-124gr Expanding FMJ +P or a 640-1 with WW 158 grn LSWCHP +P and a Keltec P32 as a BUG. There are also such choices as a pre-36 Chief's Special, Colt Detective Special, Colt Agent, 2.5" 66-1, 2.5" 686-3, 325 PD 2.5" and a 396 Mountain Lite .44 spl. The great thing about DA revolvers is they all operate the same more or less and its not to confusing to switch between them for carry. I have other autos but just tend to carry the wheels more. As the ad copy says, "Simple, reliable and effective".

Lately, I've been lazy and let the big guns ride in a bag in the truck. I have a M625 .45 ACP Mountain Gun and a Browning Hi-Power, and extra ammo, at my feet when I travel.
In my pocket is a Colt Agent .38 special, loaded with NyClads.
Out on the farm, it can be most anything-USFA .44 Special SAA, Colt PPS in either .38 special or .32-20, S&W 2nd Model HE .44 Special cut to 3 1/2", or whatever I dig out of he safe.
It's nice having choices.

If my pants are on the 640 is in the pocket, even if a big gun is on the belt.
Looking for a suitable holster for a 3" 686.

Daily carry gun since 1980 has been a Colt Commander in .38 Super...
The first one was a 1952 that has a BarSto barrel, MMC Classic sights and a Colt ambi safety. Other than that is was basically stock.
In 2007 I had a second 1952 Commander made up about the same but has MMC Tactical Adjustable night sights and full hard chrome.
It is very rare for me to carry something else unless I am hunting, hiking or around water. Then I'll usually have a 657 Mountain Gun, 60-10 3" .357 or a Freedom Arms 97 .41 Magnum...

I wanted something reliable, safe, can be pocket carried when needed, was in a caliber used by law enforcement and was fun to shoot lots at the range. I had decided on a 642/442 and coincidently someone at work had a 442 they bought in 1994, shot once, cleaned and put in a drawer. I bought it, made a few holsters and carry it daily, either on my belt or in my pocket depending on how I'm dressed.

Over the last 30+ years I have carried both semi-autos and revolvers. In the semi-auto category, it has for the most part been a Walther PP in .32 ACP primarily in a back-up or off duty capacity.
I've been an LEO since the 1970s and overall I carried a revolver most of the time and still do. Back when I started we had to furnish our own firearms for duty use. And, were limited to either Colt or S&W.
The S&W Model 10 was probably my most carried duty weapon, seconded only by a Colt Police Positive Special in 4 inch configurations.
For back-up, off duty and some duty assignments I have carried a Colt Detective Special, S&W Model 60 and Model 649.
Although my agency now issues the Glock, we still have an option of carrying approved firearms that are personally owned. I have recently been carrying a Model 36-1 RB with a 3 inch heavy barrel. It kind of blends the best of all categories for concealment, accuracy and ease of carry in the revolver category.
Why do I carry a revolver? Years of practice and rounds down range. I hold an NRA Police Distinguished Expert Qualification with S&W revolver. Short answer - I have become very comfortable over the years with this weapons system. See no reason to change now.
