Default Smith & Wesson 17-2 Model ? Quick response please !

Hi Folks,
I have spotted a SW 17-2 revolver....
It has a full underlug barrel .... and is 6 inch and blued...
Is it an L frame ? as it looks like one ?
I am wondering what year the full underlug came out and what i could expect as far as accuracy out of one of these.... is it a K22 Masterpiece ? i have a 586 and this may be a good training Revolver for me ....it looks the same...
I cant find a picture of a 17-2 with a full underlug anywhere, am i seeing things ? ?
Thanx people,
Model BEW 61xx

Anthony

Better check that dash # again mate. The 17-2 was not offered in a full lug. Looks like a 17-6 to me. It is still considered to be a variation of the K-22 series. I have found these guns to be inherently accurate regardless of the configuration. I'm not familiar with the exchange rate, but $600 AMERICAN dollars, would not be out of line for that gun, assuming it is in excellent condition. Should you decide to buy it,I think that you will be very pleased with it. JMO.
