I bought my first 16-4 from a gentleman in Amarillo 3 years ago. He contacted me today and wanted to pass the 331 to me. He knows I am a 32 mag fanatic!!!

Nice .32!

Congrats on the new gun! That should be a lot of fun to shoot. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a NIB 632 awhile back (a 1991 original in .32 Mag, not the recently announced .327) and took it to the range for the first time a few weeks ago. It was my first time shooting any kind of .32, and it was a blast. It's nice to be able to fit 6 rounds into a J-frame instead of just 5, and even better to be able to use inexpensive and light-recoiling .32 Long ammo at the range.

Enjoy your new .32!

i have both a 331 and a 332. I think they are excellant guns for pocket carry or IWB, however i am not happy with the finish on the guns. The 332 has begun to peel and Smith and Wesson wont touch it because of the degree of work it takes to remove the barrel.

Its a clear coat finish. From what i have read here it happens on aluminum frame guns such as the 442 as well. It is really a very poor finish for such an expensive gun.

Well I got to handle my new 331 no lock new in box and even had the cardboard box as well. I admired it and then handed it to my son in law for him to keep. My daughter admired its light weight and they own a 631 and 16-4 (from me as well). So we updated handling, loading and aiming skills. To snowy to get to the range.

I'm jealous. Have been thinking about aquiring a .32 mag J-frame; now I gotta have one!

The 327 is longer than the 32 mag, just like the 38 special versus 357 mag. Also I read it has a lot higher pressure. S&W screwed the pooch not making a k frame 327 and it has taken 18 months for the j frame model 632 to hit the market. Search for my thread, unicorn about my frustration about the hype versus reality in marketing.
