Default Pachmayr Compac Grips

I want to re-do my Model 36 snubbie.....does anyone know if the Compac grips for this model allow the use of speedloaders?
I now have Pach. Presentation Grips on it, and they are still a little too fat to allow speedloader. The Compac appears to be a little more narrow...but I have not seen one in person.

Any set of "Goodyear" grips, can be relatively easily modified with sand paper to allow the use of them. Just don't get the rubber so hot it "smears", while working it with a drum or disc sander.
Oh yeah? Don't forget to remove them from the gun before commencing surgery!

I have the Compacs on a 642. While I normally use speed strips, I have a couple of HKS speed loaders. So I gave them a try, loaded with CorBon DPX 110 gr +P ammo.

Results: Not a good fit.

The Compac PRO grips I have on my 640 work fine with Safariland speedloaders and the 940 has no problem with moon clips. Don't know about the regular compac grips.
