J frame laser sight for square butt
Been looking for a laser sight to add to my three inch Mod 60 S&W J frame 38 spcl square butt.
Both CrimsonTrace and Lasermax emailed me that they currently do not make a sight for the square butt J.
I know that the grip portion of the frame could be altered to the same configuration as a round butt J but I simply do not want to do this.
Here is my question, does anyone make a good laser sight for the square butt S&W J frame?
Thanks
Chas

I have 2 sets of the LaserMax J grips and this is the first time I noticed that they are only for round butt pistols. I think that short of modifying your square butt to round butt configuration, you won't be able to use the LaserMax grips on your pistol:

B-Square makes a laser mount for the J-frame pistol that mounts via the side plate screw and places the laser under the barrel. What results though is not very sleek, and looks like it wouldn't hold up well to the bumps and bruises that a carry gun gets.

Borrowing this old thread as having a headache with the exact same problem. Has anyone solved this? As stated in the topic J-frame and square butt as in the picture below. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...1.jpg~original
Mod is 63-3 22LR. Has anyone tried customizing crimsontracers succesfully? all viable suggestions how to solve this problem are more than welcome!

I use a laserlyte side mount laser. You might havta clearance the right side grip (or is it stock?) a bit but it's better than trying to modify the grip frame.
