A while back I posted about making a decision on purchasing this new 686-6/Plus/3" TALO edition and I'm glad I did! Just picked it up tonight.

I will eventually post better pics but I just had to share now!

You did good. I love my 686. Very accurate gun when I do my part. I wish it were a + model but I can live with it. I just bought a 627 for when I want more shots.

Congrats ! That's a beautiful 686. I have 4--a Mtn. Gun and 3 snubbies. I have a nice 686-3 listed on GB right now. If it doesn't sell, I'll convert it to a 7 shot and carry it. Really can't part with a 686 easily........

yes...in the 2010 S&W catalog there is a 686+(product code 164300) 3"barrel, seven shot

the pic he is showing is the TALO exclusive(or one with the special Talo grips) different SKU 150713 - has forged hammer and trigger not MIM - Davidson lists them - My Darling Bride of 40 years just bought me one last week

L frame 686 is a wonderful handgun that should provide you with years of trouble free enjoyment. Love the 3" configuration you did well.

Yes, this is a 3" barrel TALO edition and still being produced as far as I'm aware but I'm not 100% certain. It is SKU # 150713. Date on included test fire brass is fairly recent: 3/9/10. Serial # CNPxxx.

I think Davidson's is a distributor like Lew Horton, but I could be wrong.
